Widget 3 recipe
1. Open Inventor
2. Open "New Part"
3. Click on "XY Plane"
4. Using the same general shape as the one above, make it, then using "Dimension" tool, click all the borders and match the ones shown above.
5. Click "Finish Sketch" that has a green check mark
6. Go to 3D tab and hit "Extrude", enter in 1 inch
7. Viola! A widget design is made!

What I learned from this is: there are other programs out there that allow me to make 3D models of pretty much whatever I desire. This can come in handy when I want to make something, like a draft of an airplane fuselage or toothbrush holder. One benefit to this, you can share a design with someone so they can print the design too. Having access to a 3D drafting software and a 3D printer allows quite a bit of freedom when you want to make something. It also gives me insight into how the engineering process works.
